She has worked as an in-house translator and reviewer for the Organization of American States, a staff interpreter for the Inter-American Defense College, a contractor for the Pan-American Health Organization, and an independent translator/interpreter for several others. Mirna teaches in the Graduate Studies in Interpreting and Translation at UMD.
